Interested in owning a commercial handyman service?
Colleen and Curtis Pyle, co-founders of Just Let Me Do It (JLMDI) sit down to answer all of your questions about how the hottest new commercial handyman franchise opportunity came to be, and its plans to roll out nationwide in 2017.
Tell us a little bit about the Just Let Me Do It Franchise Opportunity. Are you a handyman franchise?
Curtis: Yes, we are a handyman franchise, but we only work with businesses—no residential. We are a one call does it all service provider for retail stores and restaurants. Due to client demand, we can open anywhere in the nation, and have instant work. Jobs range from repairing a cabinet door to a complete remodel. We do it all!!!
JLMDI has been in business for over twenty years, what has the experience been like for you?
Curtis: It has been very rewarding for us. Although we have been extremely busy, we enjoy the energy it brings and we love the fact that our Company continues to grow, year after year.
When did you start franchising, and how has the reception been so far?
Colleen: We started to offer franchises January 1, 2017. So far, the reception has been excellent, and we have a lot of interested prospects. Our numbers and our client list never fail to impress. We fill a niche market, because there aren’t many handyman franchise opportunities out there that only deal with commercial clients.
How long have you been associated with JLMDI, and how did that come to be?
Colleen: My husband and I founded JLMDI over 20 years ago. He was handy and my dad was in construction, so I had some knowledge of the industry. We decided we could start a service company together.
How did you start the business?
Curtis: We started as a residential handyman, but we soon realized that commercial clients are much easier to work with.
When and how did you decide it was the best time for you to franchise?
Colleen: We have opened 6 successful locations. After this past election, we felt the economy would flourish and we felt it was a good time to launch our commercial handyman franchise.
What made you decide to start franchising?
Colleen: We have a proven concept that works. Our clients request us to do jobs in other states regularly so we decided to franchise in order to help our clients complete jobs, and to help other people be as successful as we have been.
How did you learn to become a franchisor?
Curtis: I researched franchising online, and we knew we had a great business that would be easy to duplicate in other markets. Then we contacted the experts at NEXT Franchise Systems, and they made the process super easy. We highly recommend them!
