Meet Our Team: 12 Things You Never Knew About Julianne Reeger
Meet our team! This week, if you don’t know her already, we’ll introduce you to Julianne Reeger, the backbone of the Just Let Me Do It corporate operations. There isn’t much that Julianne doesn’t do–from accounting to human resources, Julianne has it covered. If you’ve ever called our Charlotte office, you’ve probably talked to Julianne; but here are 12 things you probably never knew about our office manager.
How long have you worked for JLMDI, and what do you do?
I have worked at JLMDI for 3 years now. Giving myself a title is hard. Aside from performing the service work, I have pretty much had my hands in every part of the business.
How has JMLDI changed since you’ve worked there?
When I started at JLMDI, we were working out of Colleen and Curtis’s home. It was just me in the office and we had 2 technicians working in the field. Over the past 3 years, we have upgraded to a full-size office and have a staff of close to 20. The company started growing so fast that we had to hire more office staff because I could not handle running everything by myself. Including myself, there are now 4 people running the office. We recently got a fleet of vans for our service technicians and partnered with a Uniform company. The projects have become bigger and more frequent that we have a whole crew just for all the projects.
What project or accomplishment do you consider the most significant in your career?
I think that the most significant project in my career has yet to come. With everything happening with JLMDI right now, I see myself growing with this company, helping it grow and building up the franchise, and hopefully one day owning my own JLMDI franchise one day.
Have you ever had a nickname? If so, what is it, and how did you get it?
The only nickname that ever really stuck has been “Jewels”. I am not sure where it originated from, but ever since high school people have just naturally called me Jewels. Most people tell me that my name just takes too long to say and “Jewels” is easier to say.
What is your favorite movie genre? What are three movies on your must-watch list?
Picking just one favorite movie genre is hard! I love watching action movies, but horror is also one of my favorites. My must watch movies would have to start with “Titanic”. Me and my best friend use to watch this movie on repeat and will still put it on even if we aren’t watching it. It holds a special place in my heart. My second must watch is actually a series, “Star Wars”. Anyone who hasn’t seen this series is seriously missing out! I even dressed up as Rey when I went to see the newest movie in the series! My third must watch would have to be any of the “Iron Man” movies. Not only is Iron Man one of the best super heroes ever, he’s played by Robert Downey Jr.
If you could have any super power, what would it be, and how would you use it?
There are so many choices it’s so hard to pick just one. I would probably have to go with being able to control the weather, like Storm from “X-Men”. Not only can you control all types of weather from hurricanes to lighting storms, you could also fly. Aside from fighting evil, I would use my powers to possibly stop natural disasters around the world, provide rain where it’s needed, and to make sure there is always beautiful weather when I am on vacation.
What is one thing that you hate doing?
I hate getting ready to do anything! Spending hours in the bathroom fixing my hair, doing my makeup, going through my closet to pick out an outfit, it gets so stressful sometimes! Guys have it so easy, being a girl is hard.
Name the top three songs on your current/favorite playlist or station.
My current top 3 songs on my phone are, “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars “Holy” by Florida Georgia Line, and “I see Fire” by Ed Sheeran.
If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be, and why?
I would love to bring back Michael Jackson! I love all of his albums and you can listen to his music anytime, anywhere. If he was still alive, I would love to see what other music he came out with.
What is the worst gift you have ever received?
When I was a kid my grandmother for some reason thought that at the age of 7 I was a size large in women’s clothes. Every piece of clothing she got me was too big. My Mom told her every time what sizes I wore, but that never made a difference. She always told her that “Ill grow into them”. I’m 25 and have yet to wear anything past a size small.
What is the most unusual food you’ve ever eaten?
I am a big sushi fan and I love trying new rolls. I was at a Japanese restaurant and said I wanted to try something new. I was served a roll with a pigeon egg on top of the roll. It was the most unusual/strange tasting sushi roll I ever tasted.
If money was no object, what would you do all day?
Go to Disney World!
